How did it all begin?
It all began with a brushstroke—literally. I was doing acrylic paintings for friends, just having fun and letting creativity flow. In between canvases, I started sketching ideas for a reformer. At the time, it was just a passion project—a vision sparked by years of teaching and a desire to create something that truly worked for real-life Pilates.
Then Barclay and Monika stepped in. They saw something in the design and encouraged me to build a prototype. That was the turning point.
For the next month, I immersed myself in the process—refining the concept, building a scaled model, and eventually constructing a full-size version that was practical and functional. Piece by piece, it started to come together.
We reached out to a Pilates manufacturer in China to help source the moving parts. From there, the idea of opening a studio slowly began to take shape. It wasn’t rushed—it was one careful step at a time.
We hunted down the rest of the components, from metal and woodwork shops to the tiniest bolts. We even bought the tools ourselves and turned Monika and Barclay’s garage into a makeshift workshop. There were many moments of trial and error—adjusting, testing, redoing—but that was all part of the process.
Eventually, we cleared out Monika’s spare lounge room—selling old furniture, giving away free stuff—just to make space. And that’s where our first studio came to life. A simple space built on passion, creativity, and a lot of hard work.
This is just the beginning—and we’re excited for where it’s heading.
Well build ot this website over the next couple of weeks. Please check back if you want to see the progress.
